    Windows Server 2008 Failover-Cluster

     Hello Folx,

we've just installed our hole SCOM2007 environment on Windows Server 2008, including 2 Failover-Cluster's (OpsDB and RMS). Now, we have one effects:

The OpsDB Cluster was correctly discovered as an Failover Cluster-Computer. Two virtual Cluster-Computer Nodes were discovered: the virtual cluster-name "CL01" and the DTC-Resource "DTC". These two nodes have the state "Not monitored". I rather think this is because we have no Windows Server 2008 Failover-Cluster Management-Pack at the moment (btw., Boris Yanushpolsky from MS told me, that the Beta is closed but there is still no date when it would be published) available from Microsoft. The third SQL-Resource "SQL01" is not discovered. Thats my first question: Wy not? (yes, Agent-Proxy is enabled on both phys. Cluster-Nodes).

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    Mario

The virtuals are monitored thru the physical node which are monitored (this is why you have to enable agent proxy).  It is true that the virtuals are 'not monitored' but the physical nodes they are on are monitored.

    Hope this helps!
