    oomADs installation error

I am trying to install oomADs helper object onto several Windows 2000 Server AD DC's because they are generating alerts in my Operations Manager 2007 console.  I have verified that this AD helper object isn't already installed on those servers, and that installing it will clean up the alerts I am getting. However, when I install the helper object I get the following error:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2755.

This helper object also isn't installed on my root management server (a windows 2003 server), and I read somewhere that it is helpful to install it there. When I try to do that, I get a similar error with a different error code:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2203.

Is my msi package corrupt or is something else going on?

    Re: oomADs installation error

Are you installing the 64-bit version on 64-bit machines, and 32-bit on 32-bit servers? There are two versions of oomads.msi, and you must use the version specific to your OS.

    Re: oomADs installation error

I was using the correct version, so the issue wasn't that. I did manage to fix it though.

The problem had to do with the account I was using. My account, which is a domain admin account, was using a roaming profile.

When I logged on with another account that didn't use a roming profile it installed fine.

My guess is that settings within the roaming profile (such as the setting to set the location of the temp directory to a network drive) don't work too well with these installation files.
