Here is what I want to do....
I created a management pack.
I created a group with one server Explicit assigned server assigned, (in the above managemnet pack)
I then create a alert generating rule, NT Event Log (in the above management pack) and target the above group.
The above rule never works.
If I do everthing as above and target a group that already exists, it works. Like target the Windows Server or the SQL Server 2005 DB Engine.
What would be diffferent about my group that would not allow the rule to work? Any ideas you can fire at me to help?
