Proxy settings for Web Sites & Services

    Hello,

Our ISA admin is complaining the system is getting a lot of hits from our MOM 2005 management server that is doing web sites and services. The addresses are internal addresses it's checking and therefore it should be avoiding the proxy for local addresses. How can I correct this? I went into IE and put the setting there to bypass local addresses. This does not seem to help. Does anyone have any ideas on this? It seems as though that would be the system-wide setting but I'm not so sure that it is, in fact it appears to be a profile-specific setting.

    Thanks for the help.

try using the proxycfg tool, it can download from lots of places. just run

    proxycfg -d

this should wipe out the systems proxy configuration.

    Hope this helps!

It had that setting, so instead I used proxycfg -u to import from IE and set it to bypass local servers. Didn't help! So now I added specific sites to bypass and I'll see if that helps. I'm beginning to wonder if we have our network set up correctly though!

If this doen't work I'm contacting Microsoft.

I think wiping out the proxy configuration so IE doesnt know to use a proxy would help.

Proxy from who's profile, mine? Does that mean MOM uses my profile to determine it's proxy settings? How odd this is not documented anywhere, or maybe I'm just missing something here.
