MOM 2005 Emails alerts for servers that don't use MAPI

Hello All,

I have a server farm where we don't use MAPI. Exchange servers are only used for mailbox store for Unified messaging.

I have installed MOM 2005 agents on these servers and am getting all the alerts needed on the MOM console.

Any one has any idea how I could send email alerts to mail accounts without enabling MAPI on these servers?

Alert for Service not restarting.

We have a service that is set within windows to automatically restart if it fails. Is there a way that MOM can ignore if the service fails initally, but raise an alert if the restart fails.
